Finance Director

JOB DESCRIPTION

You will be part of a small, motivated team with a very flat organisational structure. As the FD, you will be accountable for the financial, administrative and compliance operations of the company. The role includes the continuous development of the financial strategy, identifying and tracking relevant KPIs, and the reporting of financial results.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead on everything financial, from planning through to execution
• Work with the exec team to develop, track and analyse the company’s business plan, financial and tax strategies, budgeting and performance
• Maintain in-depth relations with the portfolio companies management and finance teams
• Ensure that both the company and each portfolio company comply with their legal and regulatory requirements
• Create and maintain relationships with service providers, auditors and contractors, including banking institutions and accountants
• Prepare financial reports
• Monitor cash flow, accounts and forecasts;
• Implement and standardise financial policies and procedures across the group

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable in highly ambiguous environment and able to independently take responsibility from day one with ability to work with little direction
• Advanced degree in accounting, business or finance
• ACCA or CIMA qualified
• Several years experience as a Senior Finance Manager or Financial Director in a startup environment
• Excellent leadership, management, multi tasking and communication skills
• Experience of using XERO accounting software
• M&A, Corporate Finance and Fundraising experience an advantage but not a requirement

PACKAGE DETAILS

Full-time or Part-time. This is a permanent position but contract work will be considered

Salary: £60,000.00-£90,000.00 per year
